Do you need a set number of Scatters to start the Bonus Game in Bjorn?

No. Any spin on which a Scatter lands can start it. Once the spin sequence is over, each Scatter that landed gets one chance at the Bonus Game, and Thunderkick does not publish the chance per Scatter. In our 750 paid spins a Scatter showed up on 37, never two at once, and 3 of those 37 opened 5 free spins, one of them on a spin without a single win. BET+ makes the draw 2, 5 or 20 times likelier, and its 150x mode starts the bonus on every spin.

A grid whose symbols fall toward the hero from every side

Bjorn stands on a stone circle that covers the four middle cells, and the server marked those cells as his at the start of all 750 of our paid spins. The other 60 hold three rune stones, the better-paying symbols, and four lower ones: rocks, round trees, pines and stumps. Five or more of a kind joined horizontally or vertically pay, and the winners leave in an Avalanche. The refill falls toward the hero and can come from any side. We logged falls downwards, upwards and from both flanks.

At a €1.00 stake seven yellow rune stones pay 0.90 and fifteen or more pay 5.00, while the orange stone tops out at 4.50. Our capture of that rules page stops above the rows for 5 and 6, and the server's answers fill the gap with 0.30 for five rune stones and 0.10 for five of a lower symbol. A gold W stands in for the symbols next to it, and so does the hero while he stands still, though neither replaces a Scatter or a Draugr.

No cluster left on the grid, so the hero goes hunting

Draugar, the purple undead, never form a cluster. Once the clusters are gone, the hero walks out to each of them, destroys the symbols on his path and stays where the hunt ends until he moves again or the round is over. A defeated Draugr may drop Loot and raise the Global Multiplier, which applies to every cluster and Loot win of the spin and goes back to x1 on the next. Each of the 111 paid spins that brought Draugar saw a hunt, and in the base game the hero defeated 529 Draugar in all.

Loot waits until nothing else can happen, with no Avalanche and no Draugr left. Each pile is then paid at one of the Loot table's four prices, 0.10 to 5.00 at a €1.00 stake, times the multiplier the hunt has built. Most were small, 224 cells at 0.10 and 35 at 0.20 against six at 0.50, and the top pile never came. Even so, Loot brought in €252.70 of the base game's money against €167.00 from clusters.

A Troll worth nine Draugar, on seven of our eight best base spins

Sometimes a Troll arrives before the sequence ends, clearing a 3x3 area wherever it moves. It counts as 9 Draugar and can drop Loot and multipliers of its own. Trolls came on 7 base-game spins, each of which paid 16x or more, €164.30 together or 35.0% of everything the session returned. Spin 480 was the only one of the 8 base spins worth 10x or better without a Troll, and there three big clusters at x5 and x6 paid 17.00 of its 22.20.

The Troll on spin 269, our best without free spins, came on the second screen, destroyed 21 cells and lifted the multiplier straight to x8, and the hunts after it raised it to x18. Three clusters on the way paid 6.90. The Loot, 1.60 before the multiplier, paid 28.80 at x18, for 35.7x the stake.

Up to three of six upgrades, gone again when the round ends

Abilities are upgrades for the hero that last one round. The bar under the grid shows three icons: a red sword for Thor's Strength, a purple Draugr for Call of Hel and a blue hood for Odin's Insight. Each has two levels, and the hero, who starts every round with none, can hold three of the six upgrades. Thor's Strength raises the Loot chance and adds x1 or x2 per Draugr, or x2 or x3 at level 2. With Call of Hel, one or two Draugar join the grid as each spin begins, and three to five at level 2. The hood turns the cells the hero walks over into Mystery symbols, which at level 2 can also become Wilds.

The server's answers fit those ranges. With Call of Hel at level 1 the first screen of a spin held 1.9 Draugar on average, against 4.4 at level 2 and almost none without it. At level 2 of Thor's Strength a defeated Draugr added x3 eleven times and x2 twice.

Any Scatter can open the free spins, and every twenty Draugar add two

We take the Scatter to be the hammer on our start screen, because the rules screens we captured do not picture it. No number of them is required. Each one that landed during the sequence gets its own draw at the end, so one can be enough and several can fail. A Bonus Game starts with 5 free spins and one to three random Abilities or upgrades. A counter under the grid adds up defeated Draugar, the Troll as 9, and every 20 bring 2 more spins, plus more upgrades at the end of that free spin unless every Ability is already at its top level.

Our three natural rounds all opened with Thor's Strength at level 1. The first, on spin 336, started from a screen without a single win and paid 9.30 over its 5 spins. The one on spin 464 kept the Call of Hel of its base spin and paid 4.40 before the bonus, and its free spin 2 reached x16 for 20.40. Free spin 4 took the Draugr count from 19 to 23, which added 2 spins and lifted the sword to level 2, and the round closed at 38.2x, our best. The third, on spin 488, paid 7.6x. Every free spin starts the multiplier again at x1, so each one is a hunt of its own.

The filming session meant to record a bonus played 200 spins without one, so this page has no clip. Its frames come from the base game and the rules screens.

From the first of 750 spins on, the balance stayed under €5,000.00

Thunderkick's rating is 94.22%, and our 750 paid spins at €1.00 paid back 62.5% of their cost, €469.00. They won something 23.5% of the time, 176 wins in all, and the middle one of those was 1.2x the stake.

  • 750paid spins at €1.00 in the demo
  • 62.5%of the stakes paid back
  • 38.2xbest round, free spins included
  • 3free spins rounds triggered

The balance dropped on spin one, never climbed back and ended on its lowest figure, €4,719.00. The free spins of the three bonus rounds paid €49.30, about a tenth of the returns, while the seven Troll spins paid more than three times as much.

Between the Trolls the base game leaked, and the longest stretch of losing spins was 22. The highest multiplier, x22 on spin 656, came from the hero's hunts alone. That spin's Troll arrived on the last screen and added nothing. At Very High volatility, 750 spins describe how the game pays and leave its RTP untested.

No buy button, and a BET+ mode that charges 150x the bet per spin

Bjorn has no feature buy. The demo server lists none, and Thunderkick's documents describe none. What looks like one is the last of four BET+ modes, which raise the price of each spin while they are on. The cheapest, Bonus Boost at 1.5 times the bet, doubles the bonus chance. Bonus Boost Plus costs 3.5 times and makes it 5 times likelier, and Bonus Boost Extreme asks 12 times for a chance 20 times higher. The fourth, Bonus Game, charges 150 times the bet on every spin and starts the bonus on each one.

In the 94.22% build, the one Thunderkick's page lists and this demo runs, all four return less than plain spins: 94.17%, 94.21%, 94.19% and 94.10% for the dearest. The only other build is 92.22%, which a casino may load instead, and a 96% Bjorn does not exist. We played none of the four modes.

Of the other grids reviewed here, Serpentico Smash, out since September 2026, is a 94.18% cluster game with a Global Multiplier too, though there the multiplier stays for the whole bonus and the free spins can be bought for 75x. Xterminate, also without a buy, offers only BET+ stakes and has no bonus round at all.

Most spins pass with small clusters. The money arrives when a hunt and a Troll have built a multiplier before the Loot is counted, which happened six times in our 750 spins. BET+ improves the odds of the Scatter draw, at a slightly lower return.

Short answers on the Bonus Game option and the Draugar

Our server log fills in where the rules screens stop short.

Is the 150x Bonus Game option a feature buy?

No. Thunderkick lists it under BET+, and the demo server has no feature buy for this game. While the mode is on, every spin costs 150 times the bet and starts the Bonus Game. Switched off, spins cost the normal stake again. Its rated return, 94.10%, is the lowest of the four BET+ modes.

Why does the multiplier fall back to x1 during the free spins?

The Global Multiplier resets at the start of every free spin, as it does on every paid spin. On spin 464 the second free spin built it to x16 and paid 20.40, and the third began again at x1.

Do Draugar count toward a cluster?

No. Clusters leave out Draugr and Scatter symbols, and Wilds do not replace them. A Draugr pays only through the hunt: the hero defeats it, and it may drop Loot or add to the multiplier.

How big can a single Loot pile be?

The table tops out at 5.00 on a €1.00 stake, before the Global Multiplier. We never saw that pile: across 750 paid spins the largest was 0.50, six times, and one cell collected 0.40 from repeated drops.
