King of the Party Demo: Eight Anywhere and a Multiplier That Climbs

King of the Party · Thunderkick · RTP 94.32% · max win 5,000x · checked on the demo server

King of the Party slot by Thunderkick

Eight or more of one symbol win anywhere on this grid of six reels and five rows, and the symbols include lions, hyenas, lynxes, lizards and pigs in sunglasses. Every winning drop lifts a multiplier under the reels by one, and overlay plates on winning symbols add their own value to it. Thunderkick put the game out in May 2024 and hosts the free demo below on its own servers, open to all with no registration; the listed RTP is 94.32%, the volatility high and the cap 5,000x the bet.

What has to happen for an Overlay Multiplier in King of the Party to count?

It has to sit on a symbol that is part of a win. Any symbol apart from Scatters and Wilds can carry a plate, and when eight or more of a kind pay, the plates on them are added to the multiplier under the reels before the payout, so x1 with an x3 plate pays at x4. A plate on a losing symbol does nothing in the base game. Plates showed up on 199 paid spins out of our 750, but only 36 of those had one on a winning symbol.

Eight of one symbol, wherever they land on six reels of five

Nothing on this grid has to line up. In the rules it is a 5x6 video slot (rows before reels, so six reels of five symbols), and 8 or more identical symbols anywhere make a win, Scatters excepted. Thunderkick's game page names the mechanic Scatter Pay 8+.

A win pays by its count alone, in bands. At a €1.00 bet the lion in headphones pays €3.00 for 8 or 9, €10.00 for 10 or 11 and €50.00 for 12 or more, the hyena €1.50, €3.00 and €6.00. The pay table frames we captured stop after the hyena, so the rest comes from the server's answers, where eight pigs paid €1.00, eight lynxes €0.70, eight lizards €0.50 and eight of any card symbol €0.20.

King of the Party scatter pay rules
The first rules page: eight hearts lit in gold frames on five of the six reels, nowhere near a line, beside the rule that 8 or more identical symbols anywhere make a win.

After a win the paying symbols are removed and new ones drop in, which the rules call the Avalanche feature, so one spin can pay several times. Our log has 219 winning paid spins in 750: 105 stopped after one winning drop, and three, spins 84, 339 and 570, ran to six.

One step up the bar per winning drop, back to x1 when the spin ends

Under the reels sits a bar marked MULTIPLIER, the current value large and the next one small beside it, and every win is multiplied by it. Thunderkick's press release has it rising by one with every winning combination. The server counted per drop instead: 31 drops paid two symbols at once and still counted as a single step.

King of the Party multiplier bar at x6
Five winning drops into media spin 14, stake 1.00: lynxes, hyenas, pigs and lizards crowd the grid, the payout reads 3.60 and the bar has moved on to x6.

That spin's first drop paid 0.20 at x1, and the next four 1.00, 0.60, 0.80 and 1.00 as the bar stepped up from x2 to x5. For the whole session, €504.30 of the €604.00 returned was won at x2 or higher, and only €99.70 at x1.

An x50 plate that paid nothing, and an x25 that did

The rules let random symbols, Scatters and Wilds excepted, wear an overlay multiplier, and the plates on winning symbols are added to the Multiplier before the payout. The usual step of one follows the payout: an x3 plate on a win at x1 pays at x4, and the bar then moves on to x5.

King of the Party overlay multiplier rules
Rules page 4 reuses the eight-heart win: an x5 and an x2 rise from two of the winning hearts towards the bar, which still reads x1 with x2 waiting beside it.

Most plates in our log were small. Across the 199 spins that had any, x2 turned up in 83, x3 in 80, x4 in 50 and x5 in 30. Larger values were rare, x10 in 5 spins, x15 in 2, x25 and x50 once each. The x50, on spin 196, sat on a symbol that never won. On spin 738 the x25 did, and eight spades worth 0.20 paid at x26: €5.20.

Four plates built spin 84, which paid 39.7x the stake, more than any other spin in our log: an x3 on its first drop, an x5 that took the bar from x5 to x10, then an x2 and another x3. Its sixth and last winning drop paid at x19.

A slow slide without free spins across our 750 paid spins

The run cost €750.00 at €1.00 per spin and brought back €604.00, or 80.5%, on a game listed at 94.32%. No Bonus Game started. Two BONUS records shared the grid on 23 spins, and a third never joined them.

29.2% of spins won something, at a median of 1x. Only 15 paid 10x or better, none reached 50x, and no losing run went past 12 spins.

Running balance of our 750 paid spins at €1.00: €5,000.00 at the start (dashed line), minus every stake, plus every win. Free spins did not start in this run.

Spin 1 paid €3.70, and the balance never stood that high again. Its low, €4,841.70, came on spin 720, and the spin after it paid €33.80, the second-best of the run. The last spin left €4,854.00 on the balance.

Bought three times: a bar that carries over and Wilds that blow up

Gold BONUS records are the Scatters: three or more trigger the Bonus Game, and two or more during it add spins by a table that lies below our captured frames. We saw three records give 10 free spins and two add 3. The round starts with the Multiplier active at the trigger, and the server never lowered it between free spins.

King of the Party Bonus Game buy menu
One card is all the menu holds: Bonus Game for 100.00 at the 1.00 bet set in the selector below, three gold BONUS records above the price.

The buy costs €100.00 at €1.00, or 100x the stake. A bought spin still plays out its own drops, so the bar climbs before the free spins begin: our control purchases entered them at x4 and x8, the filmed one at x4.

King of the Party three BONUS scatters
Last drop of the filmed bought spin: a third gold record has landed on reel 5 above the two on the bottom row, the payout stands at 1.20 and the bar reads x4.

During free spins, a Wild that is not part of a win explodes, clearing its row and its reel of everything but Scatters, and the gap refills as a new Avalanche. Each of the seven blasts in our control buys lifted the bar by one, win or no win. Any plate caught in a blast is added as well, say the rules.

King of the Party exploding Wild
Eleventh free spin of the filmed round: a Wild on reel 3 goes off, light runs along the second row and down the reel, the bar shows x17 and the payout 43.90 with two free spins left.

The upside showed in the second control buy, which entered at x8. On its third free spin a Wild went off at x9, thirteen lizards paid €25.00 at x10 and twelve lions €550.00 at x11, on the way to €597.90. The first ran 13 free spins, and its last one, eight lions at x23, paid €69.00 of its €128.70. Our filmed purchase was the quietest.

Our filmed Bonus Game purchase at €1.00, with sound: the bought spin lands its third BONUS record at x4 with 1.20 won, two more records in the first free spin add 3 spins for 13, the bar never drops, the eleventh free spin pays 6.00 at x15 and 11.20 at x16 before a Wild explodes at x17, and the round ends at 43.90 with the bar on x21.

Its free spins added €42.70 to the €1.20 of the bought spin. The server rates the buy at 94.54%, slightly more than the 94.32% of ordinary spins, and the demo on this page runs the 94.32% build named in the rules and on Thunderkick's game page. Casinos may load another version, and some markets remove the buy card. BET+, off on all our frames, costs 1.4x, 2.5x or 5x the stake on the server (94.35% to 94.46%); the press release says it improves the chance of the feature, and nothing we can quote explains the 5x setting.

Among the games on this site, Carnival Queen 2 shares the rule of +1 per Avalanche and a Bonus Game that keeps the multiplier, but it pays on ways, explodes its Wild in the base game too and caps at 25,000x. The Exploding Wild of Tutan Kha-boom spares Scatters and High Pay symbols, while here only Scatters survive the blast.

It takes patience. In the base game the bar multiplies small drops a few times over and starts again at x1; it keeps climbing only in the free spins, which our 750 spins never reached. Bought at €100.00 each, the three rounds we paid for came to €128.70, €597.90 and €43.90.

Questions our server log can settle

Each answer below can be checked against the rules frames or the server replies we logged.

Is the multiplier reset between free spins?

No. The round starts at whatever the bar showed at the trigger, and the server never lowered it: our three bought rounds began at x4, x8 and x4 and ended at x24, x20 and x21. The base game is different and returns to x1 on every paid spin.

Can a Wild explode in the base game?

No. The rules limit the Wild Explosion to the Bonus Game, and Wilds appeared on 92 paid spins in our 750 without one exploding. On 59 of them the Wild stood in for the symbol that paid.

Did three Scatters land at all in our paid spins?

Not once in 750. Two gold BONUS records showed up together on 23 spins and a single one on 164 more. The only Bonus Games we saw were bought: two control purchases with 13 and 10 free spins, and the filmed one with 13.

What did the biggest single free spin of our purchases pay?

€575.00 at a €1.00 bet, on the third free spin of our second control buy. Most of it came from twelve lions, which paid €550.00 at x11 after an exploding Wild and a smaller win had pushed the bar up from x9.
