What does the Epic Wild do in Midas Golden Touch 2?
One Epic Wild is placed on the reels at the start of every free spin in the Bonus Game. It stands in for other symbols and multiplies any line through it, beginning at x2. Every third Scatter collected in the bar under the reels doubles that value for the rest of the round and adds 2 free spins, with x32 as the limit given in Thunderkick's launch release. In our three natural rounds and two control buys it landed only on reels 2 to 4 and never went past x8.
Three kings pay €10.00, and every golden hand on the line doubles it
Wilds here are golden hands reaching for a glowing orb, and they replace every symbol except the temple Scatter. The rules double a payline once for each Wild on it, from x2 for one and x4 for two up to x8, x16 and x32 for five. There are 15 fixed lines on five reels of three rows, and each pays its longest run from reel 1 with no gaps.

At the €1.00 stake we used throughout, King Midas is worth €10.00 as three of a kind, €20.00 as four and €75.00 as five, the crown on its red cushion €5.00, €7.00 and €25.00. The captured part of the paytable ends there. Going by the server's payouts, three goblets bring €4.00, three treasure chests €3.00, and three of any card from 9 up to A €1.00.
Hands did much of the base game's paying. In our log 48 winning lines carried one and paid €213.00 of its €384.00; all but 1 stopped at x2, and none held three hands.

Two of our three bonus rounds owed a temple door to the Gift of Midas
Only the base game gets the Gift of Midas, and it strikes at random. It drops up to nine Wilds or up to three Scatters onto the reels, on cells that are also picked at random.

It struck 16 times in our 750 paid spins, 10 times with Wilds and 6 with Scatters, never with more than two symbols at once. The Wild drops won on 5 spins, €56.00 in all, and €40.00 of that came on spin 371, where a hand landing on reel 4 turned three kings into a line of four and doubled it.
Its Scatters counted for more. Exactly two Scatters landed on 61 paid spins, and on spin 230 the Gift supplied the third. On spin 498 it went further, dropping two onto reels 2 and 3 to go with a single landed one. Only the trigger on spin 448 found its three doors unaided.
Any win in the free spins locks, respins and waits to be paid
Temple Scatters anywhere on the grid trigger the Bonus Game, which lasts 8, 10 or 12 free spins as three, four or five of them land. All six rounds we logged started from exactly three.

Each win inside the free spins starts a Sticky Respin. The symbols of every winning line lock in gold frames while the other cells spin again, and this repeats until a respin adds no new winning symbol. Only then is that free spin's win paid. Our natural rounds held 11 paying respin runs in 32 free spins, each lasting one to 5 respins.

The longest run came in the tenth free spin of the spin 230 round. With the Epic Wild already at x8 on reel 3, aces locked on four of its 5 respins until nine lines of them paid, five of those through the Epic Wild. The run came to €59.00, more than half of that round's €109.00.
Every third door in the bar doubles the Epic Wild and adds two spins
On screen the Epic Wild is a purple tile with the golden hand and its multiplier printed on it. It begins at x2 and counts as a Wild for any line through it. The rules text about it runs on past our capture. Across 50 logged free spins it always landed on reel 2, 3 or 4, and 23 times on the middle one.
Scatters keep landing during the round, respins included, and each lights one of three doors in the bar under the reels, between an x2 plate and an x4 plate. Lit doors stay lit between free spins. When the third one lights, the server adds two free spins and the Epic Wild doubles for every free spin still to come. Thunderkick's launch release puts the top at x32, four doublings from the start.
We saw x8 and no more. Spin 230's round filled the bar on its second and eighth free spins and ran to 12 spins, while the rounds from spins 448 and 498 and our first control buy each managed one doubling.
Golden hands keep doubling lines inside the round, on top of the Epic Wild's value. On the first free spin from spin 498, with the Epic Wild still at x2, lines with one hand beside it paid x4 and lines with two paid x8. One crown, two hands and the Epic Wild made a line of four crowns worth €56.00, and the spin paid €136.00.
750 spins, three sets of temple doors and 95.2% back
€750.00 went in at €1.00 a spin and €714.00 came back, 95.2% set against the listed 94.27%. The three bonus rounds paid €330.00 of it and the base game €384.00, which on its own is 51.2% of the stakes.
- 750paid spins at €1.00 in the demo
- 95.2%of the stakes paid back
- 153xbest round, free spins included
- 3free spins rounds triggered
About one spin in seven ended in a win (14.9%), with a median of 2x, and 12 reached 10x or more. The worst losing streak lasted 26 spins. On spin 229 the balance touched its low, €4,837.00, and the next paid spin, helped by the Gift of Midas, opened free spins worth 109x.
The session's top round followed on spin 498 with 153x, and by spin 531 the balance stood at its highest, €5,084.00. Without free spins nothing beat the 40x of spin 371; the runner-up, €28.00 on spin 526, was two crowns and two hands paid as four crowns at x4.
Eight free spins for €100.00, in a Midas family otherwise rated High
There is one card to buy, BONUS GAME, priced at 100x, which is €100.00 on our €1.00 bet. Thunderkick's game page says nothing about it.

As a purchase the bonus carries an RTP of 94.75%, a shade higher than the 94.27% of plain spins. That 94.27% build is the one Thunderkick lists for the game, and the demo above runs it. Casino versions can differ in RTP, and local rules can switch the buy off.
| Option | Price | At €1.00 | RTP of the buy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bonus Game | 100x | €100.00 | 94.75% |
All three of our purchases landed three Scatters and 8 free spins. The control buys paid €48.00 over 10 spins, after one doubling to x4, and €39.00 over 8 with the bar never full. The round we filmed fared worse.
The filmed €100.00 came back as €2.00, and all three purchases as €89.00, while our natural rounds paid 68x to 153x. Half a dozen rounds cannot put a value on the feature. They do show where the money sat, since the two rounds that never filled the bar were the two smallest.
Thunderkick marks this sequel Medium, and every other Midas game on this site High. The Reborn build of the 2019 original lists 96.17%, caps wins at 10,100x and prices its bonus at 80x.
A year later, Midas Golden Touch 3 kept the 15,000x cap at 94.16% and began selling three, four or five Scatters from 100x. Midas Thunder Pots, from August 2026, lists 94.22% and a 10,100x cap.
Our spins point to a game for patient sessions. The base game handed back about half the stakes in small wins, and three bonus rounds decided the rest.
Smaller points about doors, hands and BET+
Five questions the rules screens leave open, answered from the server's records of our rounds and Thunderkick's launch release.
Does the Epic Wild stay in one place for the whole Bonus Game?
No. A new one is placed as each free spin starts, on reel 2, 3 or 4 in all 50 free spins we logged, now and then on the cell it used before. During the respins of that free spin it stays on the cell where it landed.
Can the Gift of Midas start the Bonus Game?
Yes, by adding the Scatters that are missing. It did so twice in our 750 paid spins: on spin 230 it added a third Scatter to two that had landed, and on spin 498 it added two to a single one. Its other four Scatter drops left the reels one or two doors short.
Do Scatters that land during respins count towards the bar?
Yes. On spin 498 the third door lit during a respin of free spin 5, and the round gained two spins and an x4 Epic Wild from the next free spin on. Doors also carry over. The first control buy lit doors in its second, third and sixth free spins, and the second Scatter of that sixth spin stayed lit in the bar after the doubling.
What do the two BET+ prices on the demo server buy?
Thunderkick's launch release says the BET+ options make the Bonus Game two or five times more likely. On the demo server they cost 1.5x and 3x the stake and are rated 94.55% and 94.63%. No Thunderkick text we found names them for this game, and we kept the switch off.
Is this a remake of the 2019 Midas Golden Touch?
No. The launch release presents it as the sequel to the 2019 original, out in April 2024 with its own figures: 94.27% and a 15,000x cap, where the Reborn build of the first game lists 96.17% and 10,100x.
