What does it take to reach the End Game in Pink Elephants Trinity?

144 Peanuts, collected inside one Bonus Game. Pink Elephants and Scatters carry them, and two Scatters on a free spin double that spin's haul while three triple it. The meter passes 21, 34, 55 and 89 on the way, each level adding 3 free spins to the 8 the round starts with, so a round that gets there is worth at least 23. At 144 the End Game adds a seventh reel, and 4,096 ways become 16,384. None of our four Bonus Games got past Level 3.

A grid that grows a seventh reel for its final level

Four rows on each of six reels give 4,096 pay ways, read from reel 1 rightwards with no gaps, each paying just its longest win. That board serves the base game and the first five levels of the Bonus Game. The help screens describe "6 reels (7 in the End Game)", and Thunderkick's launch press release says where the extra one goes: a seventh reel in the centre. Seven reels of four rows make 16,384 ways.

The Pink Elephant is the symbol to watch. It pays from two in a row, €1.00 per way on a €1.00 bet, up to €8.00 for six, and its pay table already lists €13.00 for seven, a length only the End Game allows. The white-haired monkey pays €1.00 to €5.00 for three to six. Wilds replace everything but the Scatter, appear as single symbols and never land on the first or last reel.

Pink Elephants on reels 1 and 3 and a Wild on reel 2 add up to 8.00 on media spin 15 at a 1.00 bet, and the caption under the reels says Elefantastic.

Lightning that drops Scatters in before the reels stop

A golden peanut in a green triangle is the Scatter. Before a spin, the Mystery Feature can inject Scatters: up to five in the base game, with a regular sixth still possible, and up to three in the Bonus Game. Three or more, regular, injected or mixed, start the bonus, and on Level 5, Monkey Ascension, the feature fires on every spin. Thunderkick's game page calls it the Scatter Mystery Feature.

Pink Elephants Trinity Mystery Feature Scatter
A golden peanut Scatter in its green triangle flares up on reel 4 while the reels are still spinning, at the start of our bought round, above the words Deepening your journey.

The feature was a rare visitor in our 750 paid spins. It injected Scatters on 4 spins, 7 in all and never more than two at once, and only spin 466 got its third: two injected Scatters and one regular. In all, 19 base screens showed two Scatters and stopped there.

It mattered more in the free spins. In our natural round it added Scatters on 4 of the 14 free spins, and every one of the 3 free spins whose Peanuts were doubled had an injected Scatter in its pair. Both control purchases also opened with injected Scatters.

Twenty-one Peanuts to the first step, 144 to the apex

Any three Scatters or more award 8 free spins. Peanuts ride on Pink Elephants and Scatters, and a meter above the reels adds them up; two Scatters on a free spin give a 2x Peanut multiplier, three give 3x and 3 more spins. Each level reached adds 3 spins, several may be passed at once, and with four to six Scatters the Feature Animals, which the rules call Panthera, Jaguar and Bufo, may start active.

Pink Elephants Trinity bonus level pyramid
Before the first free spin of our bought round: five steps of a glass pyramid marked with a paw, claw marks, a frog's hand, a monkey and an elephant, over the words 8 Free Spins won.

Level 1, Entry, is the base game with Peanut collection switched on. Level 2, Panthera Wild Paw at 21, marks Wilds with frames that can later become Sticky Wilds when a Wild hits them or Jaguar or Bufo injects one. Level 3, Jaguar Wild Claw at 34, is cut off in our capture of the rules; in all three logged rounds that reached it, the server added a Wild on every free spin that followed. The pyramid puts 55 under the frog, 89 under the monkey of Monkey Ascension and 144 at the top, where a tip under the reels reads "144 Peanuts Activates End Game".

Pink Elephants Trinity Peanut counter Level 3
The counter at 34/55 on free spin 10 of the same round: a paw and claw marks fill the two lowest steps, 55, 89 and 144 wait above, and the payout reads 7.80.

That was as far as any of our rounds climbed. All four ran 14 free spins, the 8 they started with plus two level-ups, and stopped on Level 3: the logged ones with 42, 43 and 44 Peanuts, the filmed one showing 42/55 as its last spin landed.

750 spins that ended ahead because of one screen of Pink Elephants

We staked €750.00 on 750 paid spins at €1.00 and got back €826.80, or 110.2%. Fewer than one spin in five paid anything (18.3%), a typical win (the median) came to 1.2x, and 23 spins was the longest wait for one.

  • 750paid spins at €1.00 in the demo
  • 110.2%of the stakes paid back
  • 256xbest single spin
  • 1free spins round triggered

One base spin explains the profit. On spin 715 six Pink Elephants filled all six reels on 32 ways at €8.00 each: €256.00, or 31% of everything the session returned. The other 749 spins brought back 76.2% of their stakes.

Running balance of our 750 paid spins at €1.00: €5,000.00 at the start (dashed line), minus every stake, plus every win. Pink dots mark the spins that started free spins.

The balance was at its lowest, €4,743.40, on spin 681, 34 spins before that screen. The high, €5,085.60, came on spin 739 from €80.00 for five Pink Elephants on 16 ways. The natural Bonus Game on spin 466 paid 53.6x; its free spin 7, the first after Level 2, brought €33.60 of that, €32.00 from four ways of six Pink Elephants.

The cheapest card, bought three times, and the two we left alone

Two cards named Bonus Game fit on our frame of the buy menu, marked 3+ and 4+, at 150.00 and 300.00 on a 1.00 bet; the demo server lists a third, 5+ at 600x the stake, further down the scrolling list.

Pink Elephants Trinity buy feature cards
Two Bonus Game cards on the BUY FEATURE menu, bet 1.00: the 3+ card at 150.00 with Confirm purchase and Yes or No beneath it, the 4+ card at 300.00 beside it and a scroll bar on the right.

We bought only the 3+ card. Two control purchases returned €36.00 and €28.60 for €150.00 each, and the filmed third, from the media session at the same stake, returned €53.80.

Our filmed purchase of the 3+ card at €1.00, with sound: 8 free spins, the first 7 without a win; the Peanut meter passes 21 on free spin 6 and reaches 34 on free spin 10, each time adding 3 spins; free spin 12 pays €24.00, and the clip ends as the fourteenth spin lands with the payout at €47.40, before its €6.40 brings the round to €53.80.

Almost half of that round came from one free spin, the twelfth, played on Level 3 with six Wilds on the reels.

Pink Elephants Trinity Wilds in free spins
Free spin 12 of the bought round, bet 1.00: six Wilds on reels 2 to 5, two of them cased in crystal, and a peanut Scatter at each edge; 24.00 flashes over the reels and the payout reads 35.40.

The rules and the demo server both print 96.18%; Thunderkick's game page says "RTP Up to 96". The demo runs the 96.18% build, but a casino may run another version, and some markets switch the buys off. Every option sits below ordinary spins: the cards at 95.10%, 94.50% and 94.10%, and the four BET+ modes, which cost 2x, 3x, 5x and 55x per spin, between 95.11% and 94.10%. The press release says those modes make the bonus three to 144 times more likely; the switch was off in all our frames.

The third Pink Elephants, and what it keeps to itself

Thunderkick's press release calls Trinity the third instalment of the series, which began with Pink Elephants in November 2017; its game page simply opens with "The herd returns." The second game is reviewed here in its Reborn build, Pink Elephants 2, first released in 2020. Its rules, prices and caps are its own, and nothing on this page should be read across to it.

What Trinity adds is a Bonus Game with a destination. The nearest thing among the games here is the Cube of Pan's Arcadia, which turns nymphs wild at fixed totals rolled on dice; here the meter is fed by Peanuts on the reels, and its last step changes the shape of the board.

Who should play it? Players who can sit through long dry spells for the odd large screen: our session finished ahead on one spin, our four Bonus Games paid between €28.60 and €53.80, and none came near the seventh reel. Seeing the End Game in the demo may take many more rounds than the four we played.

Peanut arithmetic and other short answers

Four questions, answered from the help screens and from the demo server's replies.

Can the Mystery Feature start the Bonus Game without a single regular Scatter?

The rules say yes: it can activate the round with regular Scatters, injected ones or both, and inject up to five in the base game. Our one natural Bonus Game came from two injected Scatters and one regular, and our first control purchase opened with all three injected.

Do Wilds ever land on reel 1 or reel 6?

Not on the six-reel board. The rules say Wilds land singly and never on the first or last reel, and none of the screens the demo server sent us, in the base game or in free spins, broke that rule.

What does a 2x Peanut multiplier actually double?

The Peanuts collected on that free spin, not the win. On free spin 11 of our natural round two Scatters turned 5 Peanuts into 10, moving the meter from 32 to 42 and straight past the 34 of Level 3, while the spin paid its way wins unchanged.

Does a start with four or more Scatters wake the Feature Animals early?

The rules say Panthera, Jaguar and Bufo may start active when four to six Scatters open the round. The demo server prices the 4+ and 5+ cards at 300x and 600x the stake; we bought neither, and no natural screen of ours showed more than three Scatters.
