Should you pay 100x the bet for the Bonus Game in The Wildos?

Our three purchases do not settle it. At €1.00 each cost €100.00 and they returned €150.70, €129.00, €89.90: €369.60 for €300.00. The two that filled a meter ran to 11 free spins; the filmed one stopped at 8. The demo server lists 96.44% for the buy against 96.15% for spinning, and in our 750 paid spins the round also came four times on its own, averaging 160.5x.

Reels 2, 3 and 4 hold every multiplier in the game

Thunderkick's page for the game names only a prison break, Sticky Multiplier Wilds and a Bonus Game, so everything below comes from the rules screens in the demo and the server's answers to our spins. Five reels of three rows carry 15 fixed lines, paid from the leftmost reel.

A red-masked gunman pays 50.00 for a full line at our €1.00 stake, then 10.00 and 5.00 as the line shortens, and a blue-masked banjo player in a sombrero 40.00, 9.00 and 4.00; the rules capture stops there. A green-masked bomber, a sheriff's hat, potions, a chained boot and money bags marked with card suits make up the rest. Five bags of one suit pay 3.00.

A red card with a gold dollar sign is the wild, and it lands only on reels 2, 3 and 4. It replaces everything but the Scatter, a cake stuck with dynamite, and carries x1, x2, x3, x4 or x5. Two or three on one winning line multiply each other; the rules' own example turns x2 and x3 into x6.

The Wildos x3 multiplier wild line
Diamond money bags fill the top row with an x3 wild card in reel 4's slot, so a 3.00 line becomes 9.00 at a 1.00 bet; a BONUS cake sits lower on reel 2.

Most of the base-game money came through a multiplied line

Our log keeps the server's answer to every spin, so we could count what the wilds did before any bonus. One was on screen in 204 of the 750 paid spins, about one in 4, and a line multiplied by x2 or more paid on 69 of them. Those lines accounted for €341.90 out of €450.80 from base-game screens, 75.8%, and 10 of the 12 base-game spins that reached 10x had one.

The Wildos green bomber x2 wild
Green-masked bombers on reels 1 to 3 and an x2 wild card on reel 4: the counter reads 32.00, or 32 times the 1.00 stake, in our filming session.

The values ran low: of 295 wild cards in our base-game answers, 241 showed x2 or x3 and 15 showed x5. Two wilds on one line did the real damage. Our best base-game spin, number 455, had an x3 on reel 2 and another on reel 3, two lines of five money bags crossed both at x9, and the screen paid 54.6x.

Once a wild lands in the bonus, it stays and draws a new number

Three cakes anywhere open an 8-spin Bonus Game. Every wild that lands from then on keeps its place until the round ends, and on each winning free spin, the rules say, it reveals a new random multiplier. Each new wild also lights a segment of a meter under its reel, and a full meter adds 3 free spins; the line naming the upper limit runs off the bottom of our capture.

The Wildos Bonus Game sticky wilds rules
In the game's own words: three Scatters give 8 free spins, wilds turn sticky and draw new multipliers on winning spins, and a full meter adds 3; the picture fills reels 2 to 4 with dollar cards.

Twice in our logs a meter filled, both times on a third wild in the same reel. None of our four natural rounds got that far: no reel held more than two wilds, so all four ran exactly 8 spins and ended with 5, 3, 5, 4 wilds on the reels. A wild already showing when the cakes land does not carry over; on spin 7 an x3 sat on reel 2 at the trigger and was gone when the free spins began.

A profit after 750 spins, and where it came from

Staked at €1.00 a time, our 750 paid spins brought back €1,092.80 on €750.00, or 145.7%, against a listed 96.15%. That says more about four bonus rounds than about the game. The next best log on this site, The Wildos 2, returned 130.3%.

  • 750paid spins at €1.00 in the demo
  • 145.7%of the stakes paid back
  • 316.3xbest round, free spins included
  • 4free spins rounds triggered

Something was paid on 20.9% of spins, with a median of 1x, and no dry spell went past 32 spins. The four Bonus Games paid €642.00, 58.7% of everything that came back; the base-game screens alone returned 60.1% of the stakes.

Running balance of our 750 paid spins at €1.00: €5,000.00 at the start (dashed line), minus every stake, plus every win. Pink dots mark the spins that started free spins.

The low, €4,998.20, came on spin 4, three spins before the first cakes, and after that round the balance never fell below €5,199.40. The peak of €5,473.80 arrived with the fourth bonus on spin 496. Without the round from spin 7, the session would still have returned 103.5%.

Five wilds by the sixth free spin, and one line multiplied 24 times

Our biggest round shows the mechanism at full stretch, and it started slowly. Its first three free spins paid €4.40 in all while wilds gathered on reels 2 and 3. The fourth dropped one on reel 4, lined up five money bags at x8 for 24.00 and paid €39.40.

A fifth wild stuck on reel 2 a spin later, and the sixth free spin paid €148.80: reel 2 held x3 and x2, reel 3 x2 and x4, reel 4 x2, and one line of five money bags passed through x3, x4 and x2 for x24, worth €72.00 by itself. With the same five wilds on new numbers, the last two spins added 69.30 and 29.60, for 316.3x in all.

The other rounds kept the late shape. On spin 308 five free spins paid 0.20 between them and the eighth 108.00, on two lines at x18; on spin 264 only three wilds ever stuck and the round made 40.9x.

Why two of our purchases ran to eleven free spins

One option sits behind the BUY FEATURE button: the Bonus Game, for 100x the stake (€100.00 at €1.00). The demo server rates the buy at 96.44% and spinning at 96.15%. Thunderkick's game page does not mention a buy, so both buy figures come from the demo server.

The Wildos Bonus Game buy price
Our play-money balance stood at 4983.00 just before we confirmed: 100 times the 1.00 stake for the Bonus Game, the only thing this menu sells.

We paid it three times. The two control purchases, logged before filming, each filled a meter, with a third wild on reel 3 in the first and on reel 4 in the second; both grew to 11 free spins and returned €150.70 and €129.00. The filmed round never got a third wild onto any reel, stopped at 8 spins and paid €89.90, below its price.

Our filmed purchase at €1.00, with sound: cakes on reels 1, 4 and 5 open 8 free spins, every spin pays, four wilds stick on reels 2 and 3 and draw fresh numbers, BIG WIN 24.00 lands on the sixth, and the round ends at 89.90 with no meter filled.

Every free spin in the clip paid, but the wilds never spread beyond reels 2 and 3, and both meters that moved stopped one wild short of full.

The Wildos sticky wilds x4 free spins
Four wilds stuck on reels 2 and 3 show x3, x4, x4 and x2 on the sixth spin of our bought round, which added 24.00, its largest step; the payout field still reads 32.30.

Three purchases cost €300.00 and returned €369.60. Three rounds cannot test a long-run figure either way.

Other wild multipliers here, and how they are counted

Sharing the 15 paylines and five reels, Midas Golden Touch gives its wilds no number: each one on a winning line doubles it, up to x32 with five. It lists 96.17% against 96.15% here.

In The Gunman of Goldwood the multiplier also depends on how many wilds share a line, x2 for one up to x16 for four, on 10 paylines, with a listed 94.31%.

Midas Thunder Pots doubles a line per wild like Midas Golden Touch, and its blue chest makes each wild x3.

Until a wild turns up, The Wildos pays like any 15-line slot. In the base game a wild is a one-spin boost; in the free spins it becomes a fixture, and in our logs the bigger rounds were mostly the ones in which more wilds gathered, though not always. Expect long stretches of small wins and a bonus that tends to start quietly.

Gaps in the rules screens, filled from the server's answers

Six points the rules leave open, settled from our frames and logs.

Do the wilds stay on the reels in the base game as well?

No. The rules make wilds sticky in the Bonus Game only. In the base game a wild joins that spin's wins with its x1 to x5 value and is gone on the next spin. We saw one on 204 of our 750 paid spins, always on reels 2, 3 or 4.

Why does a stuck wild show a different multiplier from one free spin to the next?

The rules give it a new random value on each winning free spin, and in the server's answers the numbers changed between spins. Only the wild's place on the reels is fixed until the round ends.

How do the meters under the reels add free spins?

Each new wild lights a segment of the meter under its reel, and a full meter adds 3 free spins. In both control buys a third wild on one reel did it, taking the round from 8 to 11 spins. None of our four natural rounds put three wilds on one reel.

How often did three cakes land in our log?

Four times in 750 paid spins, roughly once in 188, and two cakes showed up on 12 more. The rules give no trigger rate, so this is one sample, not a measure.

What was the largest multiplier on a single line?

x24, from wilds of x3, x4 and x2 on one line of five money bags, worth €72.00 in the round from spin 7. On the rules' terms three x5 wilds would make x125. The base game never passed x12.

Does this page also cover The Wildos 2 or 3 Wildos?

No. Those are separate, later Thunderkick games from 2025 and 2026, each logged and reviewed on its own page here. Every figure here, from the paytable to our spins, belongs to the March 2023 original, game ID tk-s1-g61-96.
